The Port of Cincinnati was awarded $750,000 in Clean Ohio Assistance Funds for soil and groundwater remediation at the former GM Globe Lot. The property is comprised of one parcel totaling 15 acres in Norwood just north of Cincinnati. The property was used first by Globe-Wernicke Company to manufacture wood furniture and steel safes followed by General Motors who purchased the entire property to construct a parking lot for its employees. Once the site is fully redeveloped, it will offer 440,000 square feet of office space and 12,000 square feet of restaurant space.
