The Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund (CORF) program has leveraged over $9.00 of investment per grant dollar through the redevelopment of 150 former commercial and industrial properties. The CORF program provides grants to address environmental obstacles and remove blighting influences creating over 2,500 acres of clean development ready land.

Eligible applicants include: local municipality, township, county, port authority, or conservancy district. Grants are awarded through competitive funding rounds. The next round will begin January 2012. Two application tracks compete for funding:

  • Known End User: Projects with a committed end user ready to develop can receive up to $3 million for acquisition, demolition, cleanup, and infrastructure activities.
  • Redevelopment Ready: Projects to prepare a site for redevelopment can receive up to $2 million for demolition and cleanup activities.

All applications are required to provide 25% of total project costs as matching funds. Environmental assessment activities must be complete, remedy planned, and costs known at time of application.
